Reminder that if a student purchases milk only, the charge is $.40.  The student is charged this even if he or she has an eligibility status of free or reduced.  Milk is included in the purchase of a hot lunch or breakfast meal, but there is a charge if it is purchased alone.  There is also a $.40 charge if a student takes a second milk.

The nutrition services program offers nutritious breakfasts and lunches at each school. Meals must meet the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, which recommend including no more than 30 percent of calories from fat and lowering sodium intake. School breakfast provides 1/4 of the recommended dietary allowances (RDA); school lunch provides 1/3 of the RDA.

**School Breakfast Program: Schools will be required to limit the added sugars in breakfast cereals, yogurt, and flavored milk. With the NEW guidelines being implemented starting July 1, 2025. Only unflavored milk varieties will be offered at breakfast. **

Important Reminder -  The High School student(s) have multiple choices during meal times.  If your student takes "Extra" items or more than a "reimbursable meal", their meal accounts will reflect the cost of that item, and you will be responsible for that cost, even for those students on FREE and REDUCED meals.
Example:  A "Reimbursable meal" is one entree and one milk with fruit and vegetables. If your student takes more than one entree or milk, they will be charged.  If they don't take the Complete "Reimbursable meal" as noted above, then they will be charged individual prices for each item taken. Keep your student informed of these costs, and you can monitor your student's meal accounts on your parent portal.  If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know by contacting the Food Service Department.
